Wine Hotel La Casona de La Vid Inn - La Casona
Objetive 2011-2014
In
2011 we opened our wine hotel and we are currently expanding it. It
reminds its previous history as Inn of pilgrims who came to her
through the royal path “Camino Real” , which is the name of the
street nowadays.

The Essence
With
this philosophy we have built the first part of the Wine Hotel on
the winery facilities which is placed in the street called Paseo del
Generalissimo "Edificio Antiguo Caserio de La Vid" or “Casa Grande
de La Vid "as it was popularly known, and on that lot, which was
once the home of the owner of the farm, with its ground floor, first
floor, second floor, lately also the became the City Hall, school
children, teachers housing, house for employees, physician, and the
old meeting point in that “Camino Real”.

Situation
The
Wine Hotel is part of our winery environment and the Monastery of St
ª Maria de La Vid. His final appearance of colonial architecture and
traditional building typologies classified with respect to that in
the Castilla y León, and used in construction, mainly in the most
visible elements such as walls, partitions, ceilings, doors, windows,
facades , features traditional construction, some of them, recovered
from the existing building today, reaffirming the charm of its
origins, "Posada" in the Camino Real, used by pilgrims
Its immediate surroundings are particularly beautiful, Monastery St
ª M ª de La Vid, Renaissance Bridge on the River Douro,
Jurisdictional Rollo, surrounded by great views, tranquility to its
doors, and preserved the traces of which was "Camino Real".
All this in order to
bring peace and tranquility to the customer, both internal
environment.
Finally, the building itself will have outdoor space
available to the client as a garden, terrace, and an experimental
vineyard adapted for visits and tours, as well as the elements of
the winery developed, with their places of relaxation and enjoyment
of tasting wines of the Ribera del Duero.
The best thing is, these activities, customers can perform on site
without having to travel for your enjoyment.
It borders the banks of the River
Duero, Monastery of St ª M ª de la Vid, vineyards and country
estates, road of Penaranda, and walks it was "El Camino Real" used
by pilgrims, and which to this day , followed by "The March Mariana"
from Peñaranda the Monastery, passing in front of the mansion (Casa
Grande).
The history of the mansion and
its Tradition.

Three elements were in
those days the pilgrimage on the Camino Real:
· - The Grotto Monastery-Sacred
Precinct
with the housing of the Hermit.
·
-
The Hospitalillo
· -
And the Inn-Inn.
